SPEED UP WINDOWS XP BOOTING TIME

This trick is to make Windows XP boot running fast.
Before you do the configuration please make a note of the real information that you want to changed. You could record the information in many ways, for example : you capture the screen, you could write all the necessary information into notepad or other text editor, or even you could copy paste the real information data. Once again, it depends on how you want to do it. This information could be useful if something going wrong, then you can put the default information into it.

OK now just follow my instructions :
  1. Open your notepad, type del c:\windows\prefetch\ntosboot-*.* /q
  2. Save as ntosboot.bat in c:\ drive
  3. Go to Start Menu > Run > type gpedit.msc
  4. Double click on Windows Settings under Computer Configuration
  5. Double click again on Shutdown in the right window
  6. New window will appear then click Add > Browse > locate your ntosboot.bat file
  7. Click Open > OK > Apply and Click OK once again to exit
  8. Go to Start Menu again > Run > and type devmgmt.msc then
  9. Double click on IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers
  10. Right click on Primary IDE Channel
  11. Select Properties
  12. Select Advanced Settings Tab then on the device or 1 that doesn't have device type greyed out
  13. Select None instead of Autodetect and click OK
  14. Right click on Secondary IDE Channel > Properties and then repeat instruction number 9
  15. Reboot your computer
